I have a little piece of every fabric from every line she has designed since the advent of charm squares (and I mean that literally!) As for any other additions to my stash, the main thing that I require lately is that they be a CW reproduction, and that the color or print is something that I need to fill a void in my stash. I don't really need a 'reason' to buy a fabric or pattern but usually it is because I can see it as something a friend or family member would love, and make it with them in mind. So my answer would be its the 'joy' I get in making and gifting. That's my reason. ;-)Sandie @ crazy'boutquiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00080509376985361545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4068518284057885551.post-20043130483653554572016-04-17T22:11:34.822-05:002016-04-17T22:11:34.822-05:00Beautiful Star Spangled quilt. Sometimes the historical repros are winners. 'Depends on the occasion. As far as BOMs, well, I do love them all but have to narrow it down to what I can handle/afford, lol. Having been quilting for only about 2 years, I do tend to shy away from designs more complicated such as y-seams. Perhaps in time my fear will go away. The pattern had a bit of a challenge, didn't look like everything else, had a clear picture of the whole quilt on the front, and the color was just my style! I usually buy fabric for a specific project. With "Love Worn" I bought most of the fabric, but was able to use some of my stash for the small blocks. I really liked that I could use little prints, my favorite fabric, in the quilt. I like BOM's especially when they have a chance for my to share my experience with other quilters through blog posts or a Facebook project page. I would have loved some encouragement while cutting all those little blocks for "Love Worn"! It's nice to share our quilting journey with others!Judi Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03371390968414567995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4068518284057885551.post-30733361355452053532016-04-16T12:17:27.846-05:002016-04-16T12:17:27.846-05:00Many of my fabric choices are dependent of the rec...Many of my fabric choices are dependent of the recipient of the gift I'm planning for them. Many different fabrics mostly cottons go into my projects. Sometimes a fabric tends to catch my eye and I MUST purchase it. I do not always know what the end project will be, but when I really love a fabric I am happy when I see it in any project. Sometimes it is a pattern or kit on display that I think would be fun to make and look good in my home. I love to visit quilt and fabric shops when I travel to get fabric instead of souvenirs . When I use the fabric I remember the trip I acquired it on. The fabric packs well and doesn't break in transport.

Bobbie M Bloomington, INnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4068518284057885551.post-36847326750657395532016-04-15T19:14:24.913-05:002016-04-15T19:14:24.913-05:00Hi Pam.
