Prairie Stitches Is In The House!

Yesterday, the FedEx guy delivered bolts, and bolts, and bolts of Prairie Stitches fabrics!!!  Yay!!!  Next week, the cutting will begin for all of the kits for my next Pocket Patchwork Sew-along, Market Day!!  Ooohhhh....I can hardly wait....I'm sooo jazzed!

Now, in case this is the first you've heard about my Market Day sew-along, we'll be making a small quilt starting in April, exact start date to be determined (soon!).  You'll receive instructions on what block(s) to make every Friday for ten weeks.  Yes...it's a mystery, but oh so fun!

You can order a kit using my new Prairie Stitches fabric line (Marcus Fabrics) or you can choose your own fabrics.

Here's the (updated) yardage requirements:

Yardage Requirements for my Market Day Sew~Along quilt:

5" square of light print #1 (a light/medium like my berries & vines print work well)
5" x 20" of light print #2
Fat eighth of light print #3
Fat quarter of light print #4 (make this light a bit darker than light print #2 and #3)
5" square of gold print #1
1/6 yard of gold print #2
10" square of blue print #1
14" x 22" of blue print #2
5" x 11" of red print #1
Fat eighth EACH of red prints #2, #3, #4 and #5
1/2 yard red floral
1/3 yard binding
1 yard backing

Remember, the easiest way to get the instructions is to enter your email address in the "Follow by Email" icon found on the right hand sidebar of my blog.  You should receive an verification email, and once you verify that you've signed up, you'll be all set!  That way, you can simply print the email and take it to your cutting and sewing tables.

Please tell your friends about the sew-along!!

This is also the LAST CALL for ordering kits.  I won't be able to take any more orders after April 1st!!!  My quilt is patriotic in it's red, lights, blue and a dash of gold colorway.  It's so darn cute if I do say so (very humbly!!) myself.  Click here for order information.

Enjoy your weekend!!

  1. So exciting to have the fabric in your hot little hands!!! *LOL*
Can't wait for Market Day to begin. I actually dropped my BOM project that I had already fallen behind in so that I could do this little project without guilt. Okay, I will still feel guilty starting another new project in my Year of the UFO, but after dropping my BOM, I won't feel AS guilty! : )
