Valentine Winning Comment

Tokens of the Past: Gathering In Red pattern
My little Valentine quilt sure has motivated me to display a few red & light quilts to decorate the house.
A few vignettes here and there are plenty to make a cheerful Valentine display.  Red and light quilts are so versatile!  They are perfect for so many holidays: Valentine's Day, Memorial Day through July 4th, and are so gorgeous with Christmas displays.

The quilts above are two of the three quilts included in my Tokens of the Past: Gathering In Red pattern.  And...I have just a few kits left with all original fabrics to make all three quilts....and....it's on SALE!

Now, on to the important stuff.....

Loris is the winner of a Valentine kit!

She commented: Morning is my go to time for sewing as well although I have recently found some time after the afternoon dog walk before dinner! That early morning before the world gets up is the best time of day though!
This is such a sweet Valentine quilt. Thank you for sharing :-)

Congratulations, Loris!

I had such fun reading your comments.  I'd say about half of you said you are able to make time for some sewing nearly everyday.  The other half have many things that take up your time...like those pesty but necessary jobs, or caring for children or elderly parents, or a myriad of other things that fall under the label of "Life gets in the way."  We all know that feeling!

No matter what the situation, we all have things in common.  That is the thread that binds us!
(Pun intended!)

Thank you all so very much for taking the time to not only read my blog, but to comment.  Means so much to me.

Enjoy your weekend and hope you find some time for some soul stitches...you know...the kind that feed your soul and make you happy!

  1. Oh, congrats to Loris!
Next week I plan to put all of the snowmen away and break out my red/white/pink quilts, as well. The one you shared here is a beauty!

  2. Yay for Loris! You have luscious reds, Pam!
I wanted to tell you that I made that chicken tortilla soup on Wednesday and gave two bowls to two girlfriends. One said that I need to can it and sell it cuz its amazing and the other made it for her supper tonight and her kids requested for her to make it again! There's your incentive to give it a try!! Have a great weekend, Pam.

  6. Well, I'm going to leave a comment anyway about my sewing time, I sew everyday and my projects go from primitive to making junior joey costumes ( that is a child clown) I teach them the art of clowning. When I went through a 3 year bout with a rare cancer and was in the hospital I had my friends bring me small sewing projects. Just have to be doing something all the time. Right now there are projects all over my house waiting for completion which believe it or not does get done. Sewing is my sanity or maybe insanity? Lol looking so forward to doing the Pieceful Pines BOM!
