I really can't believe this is our last Monday's With Marcus for this second series.  Boy, the weeks have just flown by.  

Today, we showcase our super talented Art Director, Laura Berringer.  Laura designs many fabric lines for Marcus' Studio 37.  I'll bet you have admired and purchased her fabric and didn't know it!

Monday's With Marcus II ~ Deirdre Bond-Abel of Hat Creek Quilts

Welcome back for another Monday's With Marcus Monday!   

This week, we spotlight Deirdre Bond-Able of Hat Creek Quilts.  She lives in Tasmania, Australia, and her new fabric collection, The Midlands, was inspired by the landscape there. Click here to get her adorable FREE pattern, Spring Flowers.   
 

This week, I am cutting the long awaited Primitive Traditions fabrics that finally arrived this morning!  I hate to sound like a broken record, but the entire fabric and notions industry has been plagued with shipping problems....as are so many other industries.   

With all that fabric arriving, I will delay the launch of Quilt Archaeology by one week.  I'm hoping to launch it all Thursday, May 20th....if all goes according to plan.

Today, we continue with our Monday's With Marcus series.  Sarah Maxwell of Sarah J Designs is our featured Marcus designer today.  Sarah has been designing fabrics for a long time, and she has had many, many quilts published in national magazines, some with her business partner, Dolores Smith, and some on her own.

Presently, I am piecing a new quilt design called Hands To Work using my new Farmer's Daughter fabric collections.  Photos coming very soon!  

I am also piecing my next Quilt Archaeology quilt....so darn excited about that as well.  I named it Abigail's Doll Quilt.  I am planning the big reveal for May 14th!!  Just like before, you can receive a FREE quilt kit for Abigail's Doll Quilt with a purchase on my website!  Yay!  So, stay tuned for news coming soon.

Happy, happy Monday!  Oh yes....we're back with another featured Marcus Fabrics designer.

I'm so excited to announce a new Quilt Archaeology coming soon.  I recently acquired an adorable vintage doll quilt that I think you'll love as much as I do.  So, so charming.

But, right now, we are busy, busy, busy cutting a whole lot of kits from the Primitive Traditions collection.  I must take care of those quilt kit orders first.  I'm also working on sending a new fabric collection into Marcus, and designing a few quilts for upcoming collections already in production.  Gratefully, I am never bored!  Soon, I'll be showing my new Farmer's Daughter line...very different from my usual palette, and I'm loving it!  

Best get back to cutting so I can get those orders out.  Sincerely hoping you are all doing well, and finding time everyday to do what makes you happy!  Be well.....

 

Hello!  You don't know how happy I am to be back on Blogger!!  A Gremlin hi-jacked my account and I couldn't write any posts for a week....so I missed last week's Monday's with Marcus....boo!

Monday's With Marcus II ~ Dolores Smith of Timeworn Toolbox

 Another Monday, funday!!!!  Today, we are spotlighting fellow Marcus Fabrics designer....

....Dolores Smith!  Her company name is Timeworn Toolbox and the fabric she designs is uniquely her own in her soft, muted palettes.  Gorgeous!!  Please visit her at Homestead Hearth (the quilt shop she co-owns with Sarah Maxwell) to download her sweet Simplify pillow pattern.

This week, I'm continuing to piece my new Primitive Traditions quilt.  I'm enjoying the piecing, and loving how it's coming out.  Can't wait until I can layout all the blocks.....we all love that part. 

I'm also working on piecing two more little quilts using my Tiny Baskets block....so there will be three quilts in the pattern - not just one!  I so adore that block that I haven't been able to stop making them!  Teehee....

The next fabric line after Primitive Traditions is called Country Meadow, and my sample fabric has arrived.  I can't wait to show it to you!  If you'd like a sneak peek of Country Meadow, click here.
