As you know, there are usually many things in the works, months and months ahead, all for your quilting pleasure. One of those things ~ a new line of fabric ~ is just about to make its debut.
On Maple Lake
On Maple Lake lead floral print by Pam Buda for Marcus Bros Fabrics |
On Maple Lake is a collection of autumnal prints in the warm and cozy colors we love. The fabric above, Autumn Flora, is the lead print with what I think is a bit of a folk art flair. Rather than create another 'loads of leaves' print, or one with large flowers (that's really just not me at all anyway), I searched for a print that would be really different, and that I could color in all my favorite autumn shades.

I love how this turned out because it's subtle in design, and still has the burnt oranges, plums, reds, golds and tan that we adore, and yet...you could use it for a quilt that isn't at all fall related if you wished.

I'll be showing you more of the prints very soon, along with the big quilt, Autumn On Maple Lake, and new Tokens of the Past: Autumn Sampler patterns designed just for this fabric.
On Maple Lake will be arriving at your local quilt shop March 1st, so be sure to look for it there.
Also....coming later this week.....another Limited Edition doll quilt kit, perfect for Valentine's Day decorating, or all through the year!!
Gorgeous, Pam!! I can't believe the way you are churning out the beautiful new fabric lines one after another. I was just in my sewing room playing with the Olde Plum Calico line and dreaming of the cheddars to come! Now I can't wait for this line, either!!
