Time For Another Scrap Give-away!

Now that I'm feeling more my old self, and with Spring Quilt Market preparations in full swing, we've been doing a lot of cutting, sewing and scrap gathering.  You know I don't want to hang onto all those scraps for myself.  Nope....no way!

I need to find a good home for four boxes chock full of a wide variety of scraps!

Debbie and I have complete four quilts, all using brand new fabrics from On Maple Lake.

So...there are some Maple Lake scraps in each of the four boxes.  (It's not even in your local quilt shop yet, but it will be very soon!)  There are other Heartspun Quilts fabric collections in there, and I also purged some Civil War reproduction fabrics from my big scrap bin and passed those along, too.  So that means there's a big mix of wonderful scraps waiting to be sent in the mail.....to YOU!

Please leave a comment on my blog and tell me.....

Does your quilt shop stock your favorite REPRO fabrics?  If yes, share what DESIGNERS you prefer.  If not, share what would be on your wish list.

I'm sorry, but to be fair to everyone, I can not accept comments via email.  Also, I regret not being able to ship the scraps outside of the US as shipping costs are just prohibitive for a giveaway like this.

So, please help me out, and leave a comment for me by midnight Monday, March 20th, for a chance to win scrappy goodness.

Click here to see all the On Maple Lake fabrics and be sure to look for them at your favorite local quilt shop in just a few weeks.

Wishing you pieceful stitches....

  1. My LQS does carry repros, but I have found they are carrying fewer than they have in the past. I don't really have a favorite designer, it is the fabric color and patterns that draw me in more. I love the double pinks, purples and poison greens from the Civil War era repos the best.

  3. My favorite LQS carries a lot of repros. It's hard to say which are my favorite designers because I like so many of them, but I must say I have a ton of your fabrics and can't wait 'til your new line is available.

  4. When in Maine, my favorite shop is Busy Thimble, and she carries everything!!! Awesome shop! But while we're in FL, I can't say that I've seen many repros at all! So sad! BTW, that Maple Lake collection is beautiful....the colors are so rich! I love it! Thanks for the chance at a scrap bin....I love working with little bits! :o)

  5. Squeal! What a treasure trove! I guess you know how lucky I am to have Cyndi (Busy Thimble) who carries all of my favorites. Pam Buda, Jo Morton, Paula Barnes, Barbara Brackman, Betsy Chutchian, Di Ford Hall, I could go on, and on. Thanks for sharing your treasures.

  6. My favorite LQS doesn't carry as many repos as they did previously. I so miss all the beautiful rich full colors. Your scraps would be a treasure to me!

  7. My "local" quilt shop is over 50 miles away so I'm an online shopper. Was very happy to have found half yard bundles of the old plum Calicoes at FatQuarterShop.com. When we lived in Oregon my favorite lqs was Boersmas and they carried a lot of reproduction fabrics. I sure miss that store!

  8. I have only been to one of the local quilt shops in my area and that was once last year to pick up a couple yards of reproduction prints. My favorite designers for reproduction prints are Darlene Zimmerman and pretty much anything from Lecien fabrics.

  9. My local quilt shop carries mostly modern fabrics so I do most of my fabric shopping online. I love your lines and also am a big fan of Jo Morton, Paula Barnes &Betsy Chutchian among others. Love your scraps !! Thanks so much for the chance !!

  10. I have two quilt shops near me that carry some Civil War repros. One has just a few and it is about a mile away. The other has a little more to choose from but still not a lot and it is thirty miles away. I usually look to the internet for nice repro fabrics. I love all the designers. I shop for lots of different lines. Thank you for a chance to win, I love your fabrics and I love scrappy quilts! ! !

  11. I don't live any where near a quilt shop. The closest one is over an hour away and since my husband isn't well, I don't get to go there. I do order online though. I love Darlene Zimmerman and Kim Diehl.
Thank you so much for the chance to win a box of the gorgeous fabric scraps.

  13. Thank you for a chance to win this great box of scraps. I love making quilt tops with scraps because I want my quilts to look like they just came out of grandma's trunk. The closest quilt shop I frequent is 50 miles from my house called home spun quilt shop and it carries all Civil War fabrics that I enjoy .

  14. Would love to have these scraps. We have no local quilt shop that carries repro fabrics. There is only one quilt shop, and it foes not have them and is rarely open. Thank you for giving us another chance to win :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. I would love to see you and Jo Morton represented at my LQS. It's a relatively new shop and she is trying to get fabric lines requested. Glad you are improving!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Civil War repros are my happy fabrics. I don't really single out a particular designer, as I am drawn to the fabrics. I love all the colors and collect fat quarters instead of a "line of fabric" as I love making scrap quilts. Glad to hear you are feeling better and thank you for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Your designs of course.. Jo Morton, Judy Rothemeyer (sp). And no my local shop does not carry any of the three but a shop 30 miles away in Louisville, Oh.does. I usually order online vs. making the drive.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yes, one of our LQS carries your line and most of my favorite Marcus. We are a very strong CW and heritage quilting area. These would make a cute log cabin with alternating applique. So happy to hear you are feeling better, but do take care.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Civil War reproduction, Jo Morton, Kim Diehl and of course your designs are my favorite choices. I tend to order online when the new fabric lines come out. Love to use scrap fabrics to make beautiful quilts.

    ReplyDelete
  20. My quilt shop stalks all kinds of reproduction. I do not have a favorite designer. I go with the color I need. My local quilt shop is about 1 1/2 hrs. away. So I do a lot of shopping online. Would love to win your scraps, they look yummy.

  21. My local shops carry a few. For the best selection I have to travel a ways or order on line. I LOVE repro fabrics and I treasure my stash of them, which include quite a few of yours. I also like Jo Morton, Judy Rothmeyer and others.

  22. I love scraps!! My LQS does a great job of stocking my favorites~ you <3, Jo Morton, Kim Diehl, Judy R, Barbara B~ and she also has a great selection of batiks. :-) Thanks for the fun!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. My local does not stock repo fabrics other than a few bolts, literally. This makes it very difficult for me, as for the most part, that is all I use in my quilts. My favorite designers are Judy R., Jo M., Barbara B, Betsy C., and you of course. Thanks for the opportunity to win your lovely scraps! sealoftus@hotmail.com

  27. Pam, I am a former quilt shop owner (Lone Star House of Quilts) in Arlington, Texas. We carried your fabrics, also Jo Morton, Judi Rothermel, Barbara Brackman, plus our Betsy Chutchian and all the great designers in our shop and online. I am no longer in business but I still love the fabric.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I find that I do not have a hard time finding reproduction fabrics, any shop that I go to has them. As for designers - I like them all. I use what I like and then also use the ones that I don't. Thanks for all the beautiful patterns and fabric. (Just finished up with your Market Day quilt - I made it all scrappy.) Robert, from northern Iowa.

  29. Wow, nice! I have a great shop I buy yours, Kim Diehl's and was buying Jo Morton but my shop stopped selling Jo when she went to modal. I love reproduction fabric!

  33. Thanks for the chance--I love Scrappy! My local quilt shop has a new owner and it seems modern fabrics and solids are becoming more popular. Thank goodness for companies like Marcus, Windham, Andover and Moda for keeping reproduction fabrics in print! And online shopping--lol!

  36. I have been getting into scrappy lately and have really enjoyed it. My quilt shop does carry repro, which works really well for scrappy. I don't have a favorite designer, will pick out what I like. I do like yours. Excited about the giveaway

    ReplyDelete
  37. Why Pam Buda, of course, is one of my fav designers. Scrappy is fun and I've been exploring string quilts.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Local quilt shop does not stock a lot of repos. Like Jo Morton, Kim Diehl and Pam Burda. I was raised at Maple Lake in WV. It would be cool to use Maple Lakefabrics in a quilt

    ReplyDelete
  39. Our community of Quilt shops has really decreased. Thus, the loss of varieties of fabrics. Remember when shops specialized in a certain era or look. If you wanted repro's you visited that shop. Our shops have moved to brights and more contemporary fabrics as we are growing a crop of new generation quilters, wanting modern and bright. Been fun to watch your style and colors evolve. Would love to play with a box of scraps!!

  40. Currently we do not have a shop that carries reproduction fabrics. We use to have two. One closed and the other shop, Reproduction Fabrics, moved to Minnesota. I have asked one of the current local shops to consider carrying reproduction fabric but it seemed to fall on deaf ears. I guess my option is to order on line or as I visit shops out of town. Love your new line of On Maple Lake. I think all your fabric lines have all been very nice. Keep up the good work and I am so glad to hear you are feeling better. Would love to win a scrap box.

    ReplyDelete
  41. As for Repro fabrics, yes she does carry most of them and if she doesn't she orders what I ask her for. That does not happen very often however. The designers I prefer are Pam Buda, of course, Jo Morton and Lisa Bongean. What more could one ask for. Keep up the wonderful work you're doing and I will keep up my end I promise.

  42. My local shops do carry a lot of CWR. Pam I love most of the designers, such lucky ladies we are these days to have so many to choose from. Scraps are my favorites, because I make mostly small quilts. I would be over the moon thrilled to win some of your scraps. Thanks for the chance.

    ReplyDelete
  43. My local quilt shop does stock most new Repros. I love yours of course, and Judy Rothermel!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Three Dudes in Phoenix, AZ carries loads of repros. I am currently gathering for a fall pineapple quilt and those oranges would be a great help. I really like your fabrics, Kathy Hall, Judie, Paula, and Jo. Hope you are feeling better!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh favorite repro designers - I love Marcus fabrics so you top the list along with Judie Rothermel and Paula Barnes. Read once that Di Ford said to keep to one manufacturer in a quilt if you want the colors to really harmonize because the dyes are the same across the designer lines. So I have a lot of Marcus. I travel to several quilt shops and always find some of what I'm looking for. Thanks for boxing up those scraps for us.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Love repro fabrics but none of the quilt shops around me carry them. Have to drive at least an hour away! some of my favorite designers are Pam Buba, Jo Morton, Betsy Cuch----, Judie Rothermel, Love making scrap quilts so a box of scraps would be great!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Unfortunately neither of my local quilt shops (under 30 minute travel each way) carry any Repro fabrics. I wish they did! My favorites are your fabrics, Jo Morton, and Kim Diehl. Thanks for the opportunity to win a box of your "scraps"!

    ReplyDelete
  48. My favorite LQS in Atlanta that carried a huge assortment of repro closed (Little Quilts) the others only carry a few. Favorites: Pam Buda, Jo Morton, Barbara Brackman and Lisa Bonjean

    ReplyDelete
  49. Great to hear that you are on the mend and getting back to your normal life! I live in an area where quilt shops are a couple hours away from me, so I do the most of my fabric shopping online. But many of the shops I've visited seem to have more brights than darks and I'm a dark girl! I'd love more reproduction fabrics...yours, Kim Diehl, KT, all of them. Thanks for this chance!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I've lost 2 out of 3 local quilt shops. One closed December, 2016 & the other has been sold! Depending on the new owner of that one, they MAY carry repro fabrics. I would prefer yours. Love all your lines! The 3rd quilt shop, closest to my home, doesn't really carry any repros and she doesn't take kindly to suggestions. :( She only orders what she likes. So, while I have TONS of my own scraps, I only have a teensy bit of your fabric left in my stash so I'd LOVE to win some of your scraps! Thanks for the opportunity!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I live in a region that has screaming brights & contemporaries. So annoying. I love mixing fabrics. I keep all scraps larger than a postage stamps and
remember the origins of them all! Tx for keeping me inspired.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Pam, glad your feeling better. Your new fabric is sew beautiful. I love the fall earthy colors. A box of scraps would get put to good use in my hands. Thanks for all you do.

  53. My local quilt shop carries some repro fabrics but to get a bigger selection I need to drive to one that is 100 miles away. I love your fabrics. I buy many different designers fabrics. I love the more traditional repros the best. I would love to win some scrap fabrics. Yours are always amazing. Reproduction scrap fabrics quilts are so fun to make.

    ReplyDelete
  54. My favorites are Jo Morton, Barbara Brackman, and Pam Buda:). And no, my local shop carries nothing I like. I have to travel 100 miles to sometimes get some of the fabrics I love.

    ReplyDelete
  55. My LQS doesn't carry as many repos as they did previously. They have been buying the lighter & brighter fabrics, not my cup of tea. They usually get some of your lines, but only occasionally do they get Barbara Brackman's line, but don't think I have ever seen any Betsy Chutchian's fabric. They do buy some of Paula Barnes fabrics, but again not all of her lines. I was disappointed the last time I visit the shop because I couldn't find any of the newer fabrics that I was wanting. I do hope they get your new line, but I''m not counting on it so it would be wonderful to win some of your scraps.

  56. As you know, we have an awesome quilt shop in Maine that specializes in CW Reproductions and you were lucky enough to meet the owner, Cyndi Black last year at Busy Thimble. Not only does she have a fabulous shop; but she is a wonderful person to do business with. My favorite lines are anything by Moda's Jo Morton and Marcus Brother's Judie Rothermel. A few weeks ago, I visited Busy Thimble and left with a fat quarter bundle of your new Antique Cotton Calicos: Old Plum....love, love, love them!!! You told us about them last year in your class at the Maine Quilt Show and I couldn't wait to get my hands on some. Sorry to say that my Best Friend of 40 yrs who took the class with me passed away on Oct. 29 from Ovarian cancer. We had a great time in your class.

  57. Oh my goodness, this would be perfect for the scrap quilt that I am making right now, 1 inch strips for a courthouse steps block king-size quilt. I love all Civil War fabric, your fabric, Jo Morton, Barbara Brackman, primitive gatherings, just about everything Civil War era.

    ReplyDelete
  58. My local quilt shop does not carry many repro fabrics. I get the chance once or twice a year to shop at some shops that do carry large selections of repros. But, that is not enough! I would love to have any of your repros as well as every other designer of repro fabrics, more locally available. Looking forward to seeing your newest line.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Civil War reproductions are my favorite. My LQS only carries a few bolts of them so I do most of my fabric shopping when out of town or online. I would love to add your scraps to mine and see what I could make from them.

  60. Few LQS's in sunny Florida carry reproductions. Thanks for showing us yours. I would love to win your scraps.

  67. I can't always find what I need close by so I either have to travel or buy online. I love your fabric and that of Paula Barnes, Judy Rothermel, Kim Diehl among others. I would absolutely love to win some of these scraps!

    ReplyDelete
  68. I LOVE Maple Lake and would love any scraps from you--of any line of yours actually. : )
I love all the dark and dirty designers, but favorites would be you and Judie Rothermel, and Lisa Bonjean, and Paula Barnes, and Jo Morton, and...well, you get the idea.
No one in my town carries Marcus fabrics. I have to go over the mountain for those. One local shop has increased their very small selection of repros lately and the other shop has decreased their adequate supply a little. I still go to Village Dry Goods for the Marcus and a bigger selection.

    ReplyDelete

  72. My local shop doesn't carry repros but I know of several shops that do so when I am in their area I stop in. Online is good but not like a real shop. I like all the designers and have a mix in my stash. Fabric lines with reds/pinks really catch my eye.

My LQS carries 1930 reproductions but not Civil War Reproductions. I have a quilt using the 1930s fabrics in my UFOs. I wish they carried the others also. When we lived in IL, the LQS carried the Civil War fabrics, and I bought several FQs when I was last there.

  86. The quilt shops I go to do carry repros. I don't have a favorite designer. It's the colors and patterns I go to. Many shops seem to be adding more brights to their collections and I have to say I have been adding them to my stash as well.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I love Civil War Reproduction fabrics and my LQS carries a nice selection. I would love to win your box of scraps as I do a lot of scrap quilts for a charity project.

  88. I don't have a local quilt shop.😞 The closest one is an hour and a half away so I rarely get to go unless we are on vacation and there happens to be one close. So, I end up shopping online most of the time. I love small prints, in both civil war and 30s reproduction fabrics. Hoping to win a box of these scraps...They look fantastic!! Thank you for offering!

  90. Your box of scraps sounds wonderful - would be perfect for my Panama Pyramids. I have 2 wonderful local quilt shops: Temecula Quilt Co and Primitive Gatherings. And both, as you know, carry reproduction fabrics. Some of my favorite designers are Lisa Bongean, Jo Morton, Lynn Hagemeier, Judie Rothemel, the Red Crinoline Gals and last but certainly not least - Pam Buda.

Glad you are getting back to normal.

  100. My LQS carries some repro fabrics, but not a lot. I love the purples and golds. The colors of that time period are my "go to" colors when I quilt something for my home. I couldn't pick a favorite designer, add I tend to go more by the colors than the lines. I recently picked up some cheddar and blue, but haven't decided what to do with it yet. Adding scraps would help me decide.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I would love to win some of your beautiful scraps. I live about 50 miles away from a quilt shop. Wished I lived near the Missouri Star shop at Hamilton, Mo. They have gorgeous fabrics. One of my favorite designers is Judith Forums here. Thank you for the chance!!

Right now I am working on a log cabin using the blues and greens from your Old Calicos line. Your fabrics sell out so fast that if you aren't in the shop when they come in, you will have to search on line for any missing colors. Please keep designing your gorgeous fabrics for my quilts. thanks..your new line is beautiful..

  115. Our local quilt shops are moving toward the modern brights and batiks, so it is harder to find a big selection of reproduction fabrics. My favorite designers are you (of course!), Jo Morton, and Judie Rothermel. These designers create fabrics that evoke the warmth and comfort found in old quilts.

  116. Peiceful Gatherings in N. IL has loads of repro fabric. Lucky me! I collect all the designers and mix & match in small scrappy quilts. Thank you for the chance to win those scrumptious scraps!

  117. Sadly my LQS does not carry CW repros that I prefer, and it is 30 mins away. I gravitate towards the repros and just about anything in those wonderful "homey" colors that they come in. I love your fabrics, along with Paula Barnes, Lisa Bongean, Jan Patek, Lynne Hagmeier, plus many others. Would love a box of scraps!! Thank you!!

  128. Oh, what pretty treasures you have to share. Unfortunately, the quilt shop in my town closed it's doors recently as so many of them have done. Sorry but I've never been much for remembering who designed what. I'm a scrappy quilter and just like things that go together. And there is no doubt that the fabrics you've designed will go great in one of my quilts. Thanks for all you do.

This is not to suck up, but I really love yours, Pam! I have individuals pieces and then a 1/2 yard bundle of the American Gothic line. Thanks for the chance!

  151. I have one local quilt shop that carries very very little. But what they do carry is Marcus Brothers, Paula Carnes and yourself, Pam. I have asked if the owner would be interested in expanding the repo line but she feels and she doesn't have a large audience. I disagree but what can you do. So I must either travel a good distance or order on=line Ho Hum what's a gal going to do! So you can understand my pain and so it sure would be nice to win one of these boxes of yummy fabric. Thanks Pam (Dolores in Wyandotte)

  158. I love playing with scraps!
As far as the local quilt shops stocking my favorite repro fabrics. There is only one that does and only side of a row. I wish there were more from any of the designers. Never a full line of any designer's fabric. No fat quarter bundles or fat eighths or layer cakes in the repro fabrics.

    ReplyDelete

  170. My closest quilt shop chooses to not carry any repro fabric (!) and the other shop I shop at has just a few. They used to carry more but have really reduced their inventory. I love lots of you designers out there, including you (of course!), Paula Barnes, Jo Morton, Betsy Chutchian, Julie Hendricks, Judie Rothermel, Barbara Brackman, and others. I love the historical aspect of many of you who painstakenly design fabrics based on antique ones or inspired from them. You all inspire me! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  171. My local quilt shop has not added any new reproduction fabrics in some time. It's just not the same ordering on-line! I get my fix by traveling to the Paducah quilt show and especially love the Madison Expo. Pam, Paula, Lisa, Julie and the list goes on...... Thanks for the chance to win some goodies, especially those brand spankin new ones

    ReplyDelete
  172. Our local shops are scaling back on repros, but they can be found in Western Maryland. The closer to an antique fabric, the more I love it, especially Prussian blue! Judie Rothermel, Nancy Gere, Betsy Chutchian, you, Barbara Brackman and Margo Krager are favorites. Thanks for your "scrappy" generosity!

    ReplyDelete
  173. One of my local quilt shops carries a nice selection of reproduction fabric. ReplyDelete
  179. My LQS does not carry the amount of repro fabrics that I would like, but that said, I buy most of my fabrics on line. I do this because the shops offer a wider selection of designers, and more precuts. I am currently working on a scrappy quilt using repro fabrics. I like your fabric of course, plus Jo Morton and Lisa Bongean.

And we don't have even one quilt shop anywhere close that carries your beautiful fabrics!!! Thank you so much.
