Plantation Stars!!!

It seems like it took forever, but finally.....I'm so happy to announce that Plantation Stars is ready to ship. was SO worth the wait!!
Plantation Stars was quilted by the fabulous Val Krueger!!  I could not be happier with all the designs she chose for this quilt.
These photos were taken just before I left for Quilt Market, and it was a very rainy day.  I didn't add any light or flash so the quilting would really show, and it does, but it makes the blues look very dark.
i just love how the little stars create a circle around the large stars.  And...the open space was crying out for Val to work her magic!!
Plantation Stars patterns are ready to shipClick here to order the pattern.

I also have a limited number of kits, with all the same fabrics I used in my quilt.  The kit includes the pattern and all fabrics needed to make the quilt top.

I'll post some pictures of Quilt Market in my next post.  In the meantime, enjoy your day, and make it all the more enjoyable by finding just a little time to sew.

Be well....

  1. Be still my heart! I literally gasped when I saw this quilt, Pam! I've been waiting 2 months for this pattern...cuz my 35+ projects in my stash isn't enough!! I have a different vision for this quilt tho...big scrappy black stars and all colours scrappy smaller stars and all scrappy flying geese and black border. It isn't a two colour quilt then...sorry!! I'll place an order for the pattern in your store. Have a great day!!

  2. Vibrant colors, perfect quilting and just a lovely pattern.

  3. It is a beauty--and her quilting really enhances it! Another winner, Pam!!

  4. Such beautiful color combination. Lovely.

  5. beautifully pieced, beautifully quilted! Nice!

  6. I enjoyed your talk at the Normal, IL quilt guild last night. Your quilts are lovely, and the old quilts you showed are incredible. With all the pioneer women had to do to fill their days, it is amazing they had time to quilt.

  7. What a gorgeous quilt! Congrats on the finish...spectacular and the quilting is perfect for it!

  8. I really likes your blog! You have shared the whole concept really well and very beautifully soulful read!
    Thanks for sharing
