NEW! Tokens of the Past: Yuletide Greetings!

Look what's hot off the press!!  My new Tokens of the Past: Yuletide Greetings pattern is ready to ship!  So happy when a project is finally completed.
Trim The Tree  25" x 25"
Once again, I've paired a 10 x 10 precut, this time using my Pieceful Pines precut to make most all of the blocks for all three quilts!  Add yardage for sashings, borders and binding and you've got a kit that's easy peasy and ready to go.
Deck The Halls 21" x 21"
The Pieceful Pines fabrics are in warm, traditional colors of soft lights and beige neturals, cranberry reds, and deep greens.  The prints don't scream Christmas, but will be cozy additions to your holiday decorating.
To All A Good Night  18" x 18"
The pattern includes directions for all three quilts.  Yardage and instructions are included for each quilt individually, and you can certainly make the quilts from different fabrics if you'd like to.  They would look great in any three/for color combination!

I have a limited amount of kits which include the Tokens of the Past: Yuletide Greetings pattern, the Pieceful Pines 10 inch precut, and all sashing, border and binding fabrics to make all three quilts.  All featuring the exact same fabrics I used to make my quilts!

We are beginning to enjoy a long Memorial Holiday weekend....a time for barbeques, parades and family get-togethers.   Let's all be sure to pause each day to remember all of the men and women who have served our country so we can enjoy our day as we choose.  I keep them close to my heart and am so very grateful for their service and sacrifice.

Primitive Threads Visits My House

After much anticipation, my brand new Primitive Threads quilt returned home....for a short visit.
This lovely quilt traveled to Las Vegas so Val Kreuger could add her talents with mine to create what I think is one spectacular quilt (I say very humbly!)
I don't know about you....but I think Val outdid herself as her quilting is stunning!!
I really could not be happier!!  Thank you so much, Val!!  I'm so proud of our combined efforts.
Last week, I had a four day trip out of town, and when I came back, my co-worker and friend Debbie, had the quilt all trimmed and bound.  Just in the nick of time, too!
Primitive Threads was home for just a few hours.  Here it is all bound and ready for photography.
I had about two hours to drop the quilt off with my photographer to take the cover photo.  Then I packed it up and FedEx took it for shipping to Portland where it will be on display in the Marcus Fabrics booth at quilt market.   We had a quick visit and it was gone again.
As it sometimes happens with best made plans, there is a hitch to my story.  Unfortunately, there is a problem with the photos my photographer took of the quilt.  They are unusable and therefore I can't complete the pattern cover.  Ugh!!!  But...stuff happens to everyone and I have to wait about 2 weeks for the quilt to return home to be able to take new photos and get the cover all done.  What can you do?  As soon as we have the cover done, the patterns will be up on my website.

I am busier than a chicken being chased by the Colonel!  Travel, while loads of fun, makes lots of catch-up work when you get home, as I'm sure it is for you when you're away.  Along with Primitive Threads, my new Tokens of the Past: Yuletide Greetings quilts and patterns are very nearly complete.  They turned out so, so good and can't wait to share!  And....I'm still rising early every morning to continue work on my super secret scrappy project which will be announced in November.  Oh...and work is already under way for my second book with Martingale!  Several new fabric collections are in production and some brewing in my head.

Needless to say....as with all quilters....we're never bored!

Be sure to look for my Primitive Threads fabric collection at your local quilt shop!!

Be well and stitch with a happy heart.....

Back From The Caribbean

What a fun, fun time my hubby and I had with about 100 fellow quilters, teacher and staff on our quilting cruise to the Western Caribbean.
The ship had three very roomy conference rooms so each quilter shared a table with one friend.  As a quilt cruiser, you have the choice of sewing by day and by night...as much or as little as you'd like.  It's your vacation!
Starry, Starry Nines quilt by Pam Buda
Most people mixed it up with sewing time, pool time, excursions and delicious meals.  Then, back to sewing.
And, as you can see....a number of them went home with completed quilt tops!  How great is that??
Perfect weather and calm seas made the trip all the better.  Best part?  We get to do it again next year and would love it for you to come along.  Click here to read about next year's cruise.

Spring market in Portland is less than two weeks away.  I won't be traveling to market this year but my quilts will be.  Market crush is in full steam and I'm getting all the quilts ready for the Marcus Fabrics booth.  I'm delighted to report that the three new Tokens of the Past: Yuletide Greetings quilts are all done, and I'm putting finishing touches on the pattern.

Val Krueger has added her magic and has completed quilting my Primitive Threads quilt which should arrive today.  Oh...I can't wait to see it!!  I'll take pictures and post all of this very soon.  I'm working on the final proofing of this pattern as well.

Lots of good stuff all coming together just in time for market.  Enjoy your weekend, and Be Well!
